EDCO Events
EDCO hosts multiple events throughout Central Oregon in recognition and support of the region's business and entrepreneurial community. These events include EDCO's Annual Luncheon in spring, Annual Awards of Excellence, and Industry Month in October, along with monthly PubTalk events. Below is a summary of EDCO events:
Industry Month
Industry Month is a series of regional events throughout the month of October designed to address the issues and concerns of Central Oregon's primary or traded-sector employers. Events connect employers with key resources, cultivate a stronger entrepreneurial community, build stronger partnerships between the business community and local government, and encourage dialogue and participation regarding the refinement of regional and local economic development strategies. EDCO Annual Awards
On October 30th, 2008, EDCO hosts its fourth Annual Awards in recognition of Central Oregon’s primary employers who have created new jobs and investment in our communities. We recognize six outstanding contributors in the following categories:
- Public Sector Person of the Year
- Private Sector Person of the Year
- Entrepreneur of the Year
- Central Oregon Product of the Year
- Outstanding Partnership in Economic Development for the Year
- Manufacturing Excellence

Central Oregon PubTalk
Monthly Central Oregon PubTalks occur the 3rd Thursday of each month. The event features a keynote speaker, as well as presentations by early stage companies seeking capital, advice, and feedback on their business plans. EDCO Annual Luncheon
Each year Central Oregon business leaders have the opportunity to hear a world-class speaker at Economic Development for Central Oregon's Annual Luncheon. The February 2008 annual luncheon speaker was Alan Beaulieu, economist with the Institute for Trend Research. The Institute is know for its distillation of over 40 factors and the reliability of its long range forecasts. Alan's presentation can be viewed on our Events > Presentations page.
