BVC 2008 Presenting Companies
The following companies have been selected to present business plans to the expert investor panel and vie for the minimum $100,000 investment:
Dune Sciences, Inc. – Eugene, OR – Product development company focusing on the manufacturing, organization, and visualization of materials at the molecular scale.
Eco-Winter Systems, LLC – Bend, OR – A green building products company with a sales-proven patented technology that winterizes residential homes.
Golden Signals, Inc. – Beaverton, OR – Developer of a proprietary product that provides easy viewing of any type of digital media.
Jama Software – Portland, OR – Developer of a proprietary Web-based application for software development management.
BVC 2008 Wild Card Companies
Ten companies have been selected to compete in the Wild Card selection. Each of these companies will have the opportunity to deliver one-minute pitches to the BVC 2008 audience, who in turn will vote for the most compelling presentation and award the winner with the opportunity to join the finalists in pitching to the expert investor panel. The Wild Card companies are as follows:
Aquamodus – Bend, OR – An indoor pool facility targeting the aqua therapy and aqua fitness markets.
DesignMedix, Inc. – Portland, OR - Developer of drugs that overcome drug resistance for malaria and other diseases.
eRep.com, Inc. – Gresham, OR – An online employment service that screens, ranks and matches candidates nationwide with employers across a broad-spectrum of industries.
FootGaming.com – Bend, OR – An online casual gaming community driven by a patented user interface, the FootPOWR™ pad.
GadgetTrak – Tualatin, OR– Provider of theft recovery software solutions for mobile devices.
HydraCool, Inc. – Eugene, OR - Developer of a proprietary truck transport refrigeration system.
iComprehend, Inc. – Vancouver, WA - Developer of image classification software.
Ninkasi, Inc. – Vancouver, WA – Developer of an interactive kiosk containing proprietary software to promote wine purchases in retail grocery stores.
Quicksilver Interactive Media, Inc. – Bend, OR – Publisher of a suite of online travel guides for active vacations.
Take Shape, Inc. – Springfield, OR – Developer of a platform technology that provides rich information about the human body.
